Our first practice for 2010 is rapidly approaching! We look forward to getting back on the field and playing this game we all love so much. Gearing up for the 2010 season means new equipment for some, possible new sponsorship for the team as a whole, and most importantly new members!!! Keep checking the newly revamped website for changes and additions to the detachments and operators pages to reflect our new members and divisions of Grim Reapers Paintball. Also for 2010 we are please to annouce our first invite only game. All we can release at this time is that it will be an invite only game on a private field to test out ideas on a mission based mil-sim type event we may try and have on a larger scale at a later date. If you are interested in attending this game email us at: grimreaperspaintball@ gmail.com More information will be released as it becomes available and relevent.
Well guys the 2009 season for Grim Reapers Paintball is "over." We are going to try and get together and play some during time off but officially no team planned events till Practice in Jan. so far. Any ideas for games for the 2010 season please post on our forums. The awards lunch was a good time of stories and laughs all around. Faces that have been to busy to play paintball made time to come and socialize, and it was great to just hang out with everyone and discuss paintball. Awards where given to several deserving Reapers:
Most Improved: Deathdealer
Got My Back: Redleg
Best Player: Sniper 6
MVP: Ghost
Rookie of the Year: Trooper
The Fulda Gap review is up and open for comments from the members of Grim Reapers that attended. Fulda Gap was a good game, other than the lengthy drive. There were some probems with some younger refs, and the usual wipers but all in all a good game. Warsaw won but by a much smaller margin than years past from my understanding. NATO held up a good stand up type of game play that made the weekend very enjoyable. Sideshow was a great leader and kept eveyone hyped up and going even when they wanted to just sit down. The whole weekend didn't feel stressed or rushed. The field itself is hilly and terrian is rough to cross but the workout is worth it. The basea are well put together and wonderfully designed. I believe the Grim Reapers will be back. . . check out what our members had to say here
All Grim Reapers are invited to O'Charley's on Nov. 14th approx. 1200hrs for a lunch/dinner award banquet. We have sent out emails to all members and asked for their votes MVP, Best Player, Most Improved, and Person We Want to Watch Our Back awards and Reaper has the trophies all ready to hand out. Should be an afternoon of stories, good food, and great company so come on out. Sign up on the forums to let us know how many are coming.
Grim Reapers gear up Fulda Gap in Hickory, NC. We have members of the team in 11/2 and 11/3 due to 11/2 filling up pretty quickly but don't worry we will all be in the same areas most of the weekend. Email Ghost for details and to make travel arrangements. Hopefully he will have a 15 person van rented for the weekend.
Grim Reapers Paintball is returning home to Conder's tomorrow for their Zombie Fest game. Should be a good game with plenty in attendance from the team. Basically there will be ten zombies at the start of the game and every time someone is tagged by a zombie they become one after they reinsert. Should make for a fun and productive day. So come on out to Conder's Paintball in Elizabethtown, KY for a good day of paintball. Also look for the AAR in the forum section and reviews sections of this site
The Grim Reapers Paintball Team was founded in March of 2008 at Conders Paintball in Elizabethtown, KY. Reaper and Ghost began to discuss forming the team at the annual Quest for Power game. A few months later the group began to take shape under the name Spectre Brigade at Battle for La Verne in La Verne, TN hosted by Phoenix Company.
We eventually changed the name to Grim Reapers(GR), and began to meet regularly (at least once a month) to practice and discuss upcoming games. All of us at GR enjoy playing woodsball, scenario type games. Our biggest objective is to have fun. If it isn't fun why play?
